We've finally made it! The 3rd graders and I have had such a great year! I am so proud of all they have accomplished and look forward to continuing to watch them grow during their next couple of years at Riverside. Here's a look at how 3rd grade came to a close.
Book Buddy Celebration
The 3rd graders met with their Kindergarten reading buddies one last time. They got to enjoy popsicles and play time outside. The little buddies have enjoyed having my students work with them all year.
Wax Museum
This week 3rd graders were invited to the 4th grade Wax Museum. 4th graders dressed up as important and influential people who made an impact on Wisconsin history. Students pushed the "on" button to see the wax figures come to life and give a speech about their impact. They really enjoyed learning about all of these important people.
New Zoo Field Trip
Our last field trip to the zoo was great! Students took a look around the zoo and then learned about endangered animals. We had awesome weather and got to meet some very amazing animals!
Accelerated Reader Reward
All 3rd graders who met their 4th quarter AR goals celebrated this week! They were divided into 10 teams to compete in the Accelerated Reader Olympics! Each team had 5 events in an ultimate relay race. Things like filling up a cup of water, crawling through a hula hoop, and running like dinosaurs were some of the things students did. They ended with popsicles!
